分子筛概述
分子筛是指具有均匀的微孔，其孔径与一般分子大小相当的一类物质。分子筛主要吸附水，甲醇、乙醇、、、二氧化碳、乙烯、丙烯，对水的选择吸附性能高于任何其他分子。是工业上用量最大的分子筛品种之一。主要用于天燃气以及各种化工气体和液体、冷冻剂、药品、电子材料及易变物质的干燥，氩气纯化，甲烷、乙烷、丙烷的分离。通过吸附的优先顺序和尺寸大小来区分不同物质的分子，所以被形象的称为“分子筛&dquo;。分子筛由于使用途径不同，可以分为3A/4A/5A/10X/13X/13空分专用分子筛、中空玻璃分子筛、分子筛活化粉、碳分子筛等。

2、化学特性
分子筛能承受600—700℃的短暂高温，但再生温度一般在400℃以下。分子筛可在PH值5-10范围的介质中使用；在盐溶液中能交换某些金属阳离子。
分子筛是一类结晶的硅铝酸盐，由于它具有均一的孔径和极高的比表面积，所以具有许多优异的特点。
(1)按分子的大小和形状不同的选择吸附作用，即只吸附那些小于分子筛孔径的分子。
(2)对于小的极性分子和不饱和分子，具有选择吸附性能，极性越大，不饱和度越高，其选择吸附性越强。
(3)具有强烈的吸水性。哪怕在较高的温度、较大的空速和含水量较低的情况下，仍有相当高的吸水容量。

分子筛用途
分子筛主要用于天燃气以及各种化工气体和液体、冷冻剂、药品、电子材料及易变物质的干燥，氩气纯化，甲烷、乙烷、丙烷的分离。
3A分子筛主要用于不饱和烃如石油裂解气、乙烯、丁二烯的干燥；极性液体如甲醇、乙醇的干燥、制冷剂的干燥；煤油和航空发动机的深度干燥；氮氢混合气体的干燥。石油化工、真空玻璃等工业用干燥剂。
4A分子筛是工业上用量最大的分子筛品种之一，主要用于空气、天然气烷烃、制冷剂等气体和液体的深度干燥；氩气的制取和净化；药品包装、电子元件和易变质物质的静态干燥；油漆、染料、涂料中脱水剂。
5A分子筛可以吸附正构烃类和醇类气体。在弱酸介质中具有高的稳定性。可作为石油、化工、天然气及其它工业用气体的干燥和精制。
13X分子筛能吸附较大临界直径的分子，主要用于气体的干燥和净化，空气装置原料气的净化，可有效吸附空气中的二氧化碳、水、有机硫化物等物质。
Y型分子筛具备X型分子筛烃似的晶体构造，但化学组成不同（硅铝比拟大）通常用于催化范畴。
